Our family’s story.
We opened Barnes Care in 2004 when the mother of our owner, Bunny, was in need of more care. We knew she would be happier and more comfortable in a small setting where she had a private room filled with her own furniture, personal belongings and memorabilia, where she could receive the love and personal attention she needed.
Not only did we want to provide this for Bunny, but our family wanted to ensure that our friends and neighbors would have the same level of respect, compassion and care for decades to come.
Our first building opened in 2004, with new buildings added in 2008 and 2014 to meet increasing demand.
Bunny would be proud.
Today you will find three generations of Bunny’s family within the walls of our community on a regular basis. Bunny’s son, Terry, is the owner, and her grandsons, Justin and Brandon, take care of the day-to-day operations. It’s not unusual to find some of her great-grandchildren pitching in as well! We know Bunny would be proud that her family continues to care for the seniors in the community that she loved as well as they cared for her.

Barnes Care is extremely selective when inviting members to join our team, ensuring that each caregiver we hire is well trained. We only employ the most compassionate and capable professionals and continually improve our clinical and customer service skills, working together as a team to reach our goals.
Our staff members treat each other with respect, take responsibility for their duties, and believe that dedicated service demands we go the extra mile. They care for each resident with the love and respect that started with Bunny all those years ago.
